Teddy Bears the Perfect Fluffy Toy
Have you noticed that despite new toys constantly being invented, fluffy toys, particularly Teddy Bears, have never gone out of fashion. Every year there are more varieties on the market, proving how popular they really are. Other toys are a fad, they come and go. Soft toys can also include dolls, known by many as rag dolls. Dolls are a different category of stuffed toy entirely. Some people have ‘doll collections’, which include all types of dolls, and the stuffed variety are well represented in these collections.
Teddy Bears have been popular for almost 100 years. In fact it was the first furry stuffed toy every made, and was manufactured by a Russian immigrant which he called "Teddy's Bear".

The Teddy Bears Picnic, today this is popular tradition and is celebrated every year.
The children are invited to bring their teddy bears or other stuffed animals to the picnics. Often,the toys are given ‘medical checkup’ and are given certificates. Sometimes these picnics are held in order to raise money for charities.
This fact, shows the continuing popularity of cuddly stuffed toys and is a great testimonial to the enduring love we have for our fluffy friends.

Other Reasons For Stuffed Toys
Plush toys are often put in baskets of goodies for new-born babies. Stuffed rabbits in the shops usually herald the approach of Easter. They are, occasionally, placed in baskets to beraffled.
We buy the stuffed toys for our children or our friends or relatives children because we ourselves love the cuddly toys. So we have a natural inclination to believe that the recipients will love to have them. And this is exactly what happens. Fluffy stuffed toys are loved the world over.
While plush toys are more readily available, we can buy knitted ones, or ones made of some type of material, such as cotton. These differently constructed ones are not always to be found at the big stores. The knitted ones are more often to be found in the smaller shops or local markets than elsewhere, but can also be found on the net.
Crafts and Making Them Ourselves
Sometimes, we can go to craft markets and find ones that have been made by local people. These are even more varied in type, colour and the material from which they are made. If we are handy, we can even make them ourselves.
Patterns for teddy bears and other stuffed toys are sometimes available in magazines, or at craft shops. The patterns can either be for the knitted variety, or for the ones that we cut out and sew. We can buy special stuffing for them from the craft shops or use clean, old nylons or rags that we cut into smaller strips.
Unlike the majority of toys now available, when fluffy toys need repairing, we can do it ourselves. If the seams are torn, we can sew them. If the filling comes out, we can use whatever is on hand to replace it. If they develop a hole in their ‘skin’ from where they have been regularly held, we can usually patch them up.
When the ones that have fillings made of the ‘bean bag beans’ get flattened, we can replace the beans with new ones, or use a different type of filling altogether. The choice is our own. 
Easier to Buy a New One
However it is always just easier to purchase new fluffy toys rather than repair old ones, as they are inexpensive, fresh and unworn. - Ev.
